25 Jun 2024 Puerto Residuo 0, what we have done in these six months
During the first semester of the Puerto Residuo 0 project (January-June 2024), the selection, sampling and characterization activities of the waste that will be used to prepare the artificial soil have been carried out. In addition, the dredged sediment that will be used and the soil where the pilot plot will be implemented were analyzed.
These results will allow us to design the most appropriate artificial soil for the pilot plot in the second half of the project.
One of the project activities is to evaluate the greenhouse gas emissions mitigation potential of artificial soils made from dredged sediment. During the first semester, the gases emitted by the selected sediment have already been quantified.
