The Portuguese group SOGRAPE, the world´s tenth wine producer, with presence in Spain, Chile and Argentina, has contracted us to develop a treatment wetland in one of its wineries in the Alto Douro region, Quinta do Sairrão.   As one can observe from the operations already in place, the utmost respect has been shown for existing terrace system, aiming for an end result that has minimal impact on the landscape. The wetland will treat the waste waters derived from a winery that produces 1.2 million litres of wine a year.   The SOGRAPE Group intends to use this purification system, based on treatment wetland technology, in the rest of its wineries in the future....
