Quinta do Sairrão
The Portuguese group SOGRAPE, the world´s tenth wine producer, with presence in Spain, Chile and Argentina, has contracted us to develop a treatment wetland in one of its wineries in the Alto Douro region, Quinta do Sairrão. As one can observe from the operations already in place, the utmost respect has been shown for existing terrace system, aiming for an end result that has minimal impact on the landscape. The wetland will treat the waste waters derived from a winery that produces 1.2 million litres of wine a year. The SOGRAPE Group intends to use this purification system, based on treatment wetland technology, in the rest of its wineries in the future....

Buenaventura Group
EDAFOTEC began collaborative work with the Buenaventura group in November 2015, in the closure activities of the La Zanja mine, located in the Cajamarca district (Peru). To that effect, EDAFOTEC has been admitted as a provider of the Buenaventura group, the largest state-owned mining group. The Buenaventura group is fundamentally focussed on gold mining. Circular Economy Mission to Chile
EDAFOTEC Suelos a La Carta, has been invited by the European Commission to accompany its Director General of the Environment in the Circular Economy to Chile which will take place in April 2016, due to the celebration of the EXPOMIN Fair, one of the most important mining fairs in the world. We are very pleased that the European Commission recognises the contribution of our technology to the Circular Economy. We´ll be there....

EDAFOTEC establishes a subsidiary in Peru.
Edafotec Suelos a la Carta has had a subsidiary in Lima, peruPeru, since May 2015. Denominated EDAFOTEC Suelos a la Carta SAC, it is 100% owned by our parent company and will focus on solutions for the mine closure, through the use of proprietary technologies. EDAFOTEC started working in Peru from Spain, with Grupo Buenaventura in November 2015. Our work will be complemented by waste management actions in poorly accessible areas of the country, which has the largest concentration of Peruvian mines, and where the main beneficiaries will be the local communities....
